I can't believe how stupid some people are
I was in Lions Arch - District 2 (American - English) at around 4:15 EST today. I yelled out into local "Whisper me if you agree that women's suffrage should be banned!"
I got 12 whispers
I got 5 agreeing with the idea. (4 said "YES! lets help the women stop suffering!" 1 was sexist)
I got 2 that were smart and didn't agree with me.
I got 5 whispers that didn't know what suffrage was.
It is sad... very sad...

Doesn't the term "Women's Suffrage" refer to the movement to reform political policies to give women the right to vote, and considering that in most truly democratic nations said goal has already been achieved.
So that being said wouldn't that make the need for women's suffrage pretty much not needed?

No, he was asking people to whisper him if they thought women should not be allowed to vote. Of course it's really funny when girls agree about ending the whole suffrage thing. There's a video where some guys asked a similar question on a college campus.... if only I could find it

I find it silly that you're basing people's intelligence on whether they know what suffrage means or not.
Stupid people have access to funny videos too.

No. He's commenting on the sexist, stupid people who say that women shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Anyone who believes that women shouldn't be allowed to vote should be executed by being slowly stabbed to death with butter knives. And if you think women are inferior to men, you should go douse yourself in gasoline and play with matches.

Still, I'd be fine with a law that said women can't run for office. You know, until someone finds Hillary's coffin and puts a stake in the bitch.

The video you seek is that of Comedy Centrals "The Man Show" staring Jimy Kimmel and Adam Corrola. In the skit the two co-stars set up a stand having people, mostly of the female persuation, sign a patition to "End Womans Sufferage" Sufferage, well defined by WarKaster, is waht the bill was called that was sent through congress to allow women the right to vote, therefore by "Ending" womens sufferage that would take away any and all female ability to vote. The idea behind the skit was to see how many women the fellas could get to sign the patition in an attempt to show that women were not very smart. A side joke to the skin was to see how many women they could "hit on" while pretend to care about womens rights.

You're a little scary... wait are you American? Can you run for president?
I ask this because the "American Guy" in my class (stationed in England, land on Eng's) said that it would be hilarious for a black, lesbian atheist to voted president. Then again we also talked about Nazi's, education, politics and chocolate, so maybe a group of jaded philosophy students aren't the best people to present a future presidential candidate.
However you do seem a little reactionary, which is worring as this is what can lead to bad images for women's rights activists. The same of course applying to any really vocal minority speaking out above a silent majority. Perhaps a more restrained approach in future?

Well, basically any women who go onto the man show are stupid, so I wouldn't let them speak for all women, plus that show is in America, nuff said.

QFT
but really, it's a bit silly to say somone isn't intelligent simply because they don't know some archaic term. For the average person first hearing the word "suffrage" sounds a lot like "suffer" a clearly bad thing, so they assume that women's suffrage is something about women suffering and agree to support it. mind you it's not the smartest move to support something you don't understand, but then again most of those "dumb" women were blatantly lied too about it.
point is, don't call people stupid simply because you found a neat word in the dictionary and they haven't.
